Travelling from New Zealand to UK to catch up with her family, Rachel contacted UK Column and asked to visit us. She wanted to share her experiences in New Zealand during the COVID-19 lockdown, as it had been an unbelievable and terrifying experience for her. Her happy life in a quiet rural area was destroyed in a wave of state-imposed control and madness.
She recounts how it all happened so quickly. Borders closed, and people were trapped on the islands and held to ransom. Whole families were invited to get their vaccine – or else. Rachel knew things were wrong, although in the beginning, this was just her instinct. A doctor’s visit to discuss personal vaccine risks became a warning that she could lose her job if she did not take the vaccine. Her previous medical problems with vaccines in the past made no difference. The doctor's response was hard and uncaring. It was nothing to politicians and state officials to describe those who challenged the vaccine programme as a ‘River of Filth’.
Searching for answers online, Rachel discovered UK Column. Then another lady from New Zealand contacted. She introduced Rachel to freedom forums, and they contacted other people in similar circumstances.
Strengthened by new friends and greater understanding, Rachel went to a big Wellington protest, which was the sort of thing she had never done before, yet it was there she realised that she wanted to document why other people were also there. People came from all walks of life: police, nurses, housewives, dads, and many others. All people were uncomfortable about what was going on, and they were prepared to stand up and be counted.
She felt compelled to write about what happened in a book, and to encourage others to write about what they were experiencing. Amongst many others, a Māori man wrote a significant amount along with her.
She remembers the riot police lining up with batons and pepper spray. She still feels the intimidation and fear. She realised the police were working with the government, not for the people. Rachel repeated that UK Column kept her sane.
Rachel ended by encouraging people to do research for themselves. She added that she had never done research on governments, the WEF, or the UN, but she discovered that the truth is there for you to find. She added that they censor you because you become a threat, but being forewarned is being forearmed.
