UK Column was delighted to have the opportunity to interview documentary filmmaker Chris Burgard. An experienced director for many titles, Chris has made two very significant films concerning the events that took place on January 6th at the United States Capitol building in Washington, D.C. These are called Capitol Punishment: Everything They Told You about J6 Was a Lie and The War on Truth.
Present at Capitol Hill on that fateful day, Chris observed people and actions that aroused his suspicion. Trusting his intuition, he warned his wife that something bad was about to happen, and that warning was to become a cruel reality in which people died.
In the subsequent days, weeks and months the mainstream media had only one story to tell, and it was in line with President Biden’s public claim that ‘rioters held a dagger at the throat of America and American democracy’. Moreover, the rioters were described as everything from QAnon Shamans to Oath Keepers and right-wing militias.
But Chris and his wife had witnessed and experienced a very different crowd, a million plus relaxed, happy and law-abiding people, who were excited to be together and standing up against what many regarded as serious constitutional failures.
Yet that vast peaceful gathering was to be smashed apart by what Chris and his long-term friend, former CIA operative and security adviser J. Michael Waller, who was also present, describe as professional agitators and subversives at work amongst the crowd.
Later investigations revealed in a Justice Department report that the FBI had at least 26 confidential informants on the ground in Washington, D.C. during the January 6th storming of the Capitol, and most of them were engaged in illegal activity during the chaos.
In this fascinating and vital interview, Chris Burgard describes the day and his analysis of contributing subversive events, politics, and cover-up which led him to expose the truth by means of two documentary films. Significantly, his film Capitol Punishment: Everything They Told You about J6 Was a Lie did not bring Chris an Oscar, but an FBI investigation of himself, as a national security threat to the United States.
A key lesson from this discussion between Chris Burgard and Brian Gerrish is a focus on warning parallels between events, tactics, and ideology in the USA and the UK. Finally, they both agree that the war on prayer is probably the most significant new malevolent political agenda, which best highlights the attack on the nation state.
Chris Burgard's films can be found at The War on Truth, and he also broadcasts with His Glory TV.
