Mike Robinson speaks to Graham Linehan (Substack | Twitter), comedy writer and creator/co-creator of Father Ted, Black Books and The IT Crowd, about life after speaking out on transgender issues.
Censored and cancelled, Graham became involved with the issue when the 2013 repeat of an episode of The IT Crowd was widely criticised as transphobic and sexist. He was accused of using gender stereotypes and trivialising violence against transgender women.
His memoir, Tough Crowd: How I Made and Lost a Career in Comedy, was published in October this year. It reached tenth place on the Sunday Times bestseller list.
