On 22 February 2025, Common Knowledge Edinburgh sponsored The Scottish People's Covid-19 Inquiry to raise awareness. It was an opportunity for the Scottish public to review critically the measures taken from 2020 onwards by the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland in response to an alleged novel respiratory disease named Covid-19. The conference had three aims:
- To explore whether these measures were appropriate, justified or ethical,
- To document the harms that they have caused, drawing on evidence revealed at the official Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry, and
- To discuss the steps required to hold those responsible to account.
The conference featured talks from prominent researchers in their respective fields, as well as individual personal testimonies. The recordings of the talks appear on this page.
UK Column's very own Prof Diane Rasmussen McAdie is on the Common Knowledge Edinburgh's Executive Committee, and she spoke at the conference about the fear and propaganda campaign. Dr Liz Evans, another conference speaker, has previously appeared on UK Column.
