Debi Evans Blog: 14th November 2024

It’s a bumper blog this week to make up for a slightly slimmed down version in October. Hang onto your hats; there is much to discuss! I am almost dizzy with news!

I have déjà vu. Are you also feeling as though we have already been here? As one circus rolls out of Washington, DC, another rolls in. It’s a similar show with different rides and different performers. However, I spy a ghost train and a few very steep, scary rollercoasters ahead. Whether you are breathing a sigh of relief, or simply in shock at the re-election of Donald Trump, one thing is for sure: it will be the greatest show on Earth. But will it be Wicked, or will it be Cinderella with a happy ending? Perhaps it will be more akin to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, or maybe Godspell? Will you be crying in horror or crying with laughter? Who knows what the future will hold with Trump in charge? Be assured of a swift, surgical, and steely approach from the get-go. But will it be in our best interests? If you are sitting back relaxing and enjoying your popcorn, you may be in for a few shocks.

As the Trump dynasty warms up in the wings, the Biden administration have conceded defeat quietly; perhaps too quietly? I have never understood why there is a two-month transition period, or why the victorious winners must wait so long before they can take power. Effectively, the West is devoid of the leader of the ‘free world’, although many(including myself) would say that we no longer live in a free world.  With all that said, it seems that the USA is in a dangerous limbo. What surprises or stunts could the Biden administration and/or the Deep State pull off in the next 60 days? What moves will other countries make to ensure Trump’s demise? And what happens to a president who is still facing criminal charges in connection with the 2016 presidential election? You can’t lock the president up, can you? Will the cases go on ICE (pardon the pun) or will they be terminated?

I will admit to staying up all night so I could witness CNN’s and Sky News’ extravagant, no-expense-spared, wall-to-wall broadcasts. At first, everyone was buoyed up and excited about the night ahead, but it was short-lived as more of the USA map turned red for the Republicans. Noticeably, the panels of experts, pollsters, and news anchors looked more and more miserable. Even Kamala Harris switched the lights off at her party and went home early, obviously too tired to thank her supporters and her campaign team. Sky News appeared more concerned about who Trump would appoint in his administration. Would it be the anti-vaxxer and anti-fluoridation campaigner John F. Kennedy? Shock horror! And what of X, formerly known as Twitter, if, as predicted, Elon Musk is given a role in the new Trump administration? Elon is a very valuable asset to Trump, because he is capable of linking our brains to computers viaNeuralink. He also owns one of the most powerful communication networks in the West, Starlink, and he is already very useful to President Zelensky in Ukraine.  Are you comfortable connecting to the Internet of Things? I’m not, thanks. And let’s not forget Trump has a fascination with space, setting up Space Force in his last administration. Trump is not alone; King Charles thinks he owns space through Astra Carta, specifically ‘sustainable’ space.  Keep watching… toward the heavens. Trump loves the British royal family, and King Charles loves power, control, adoration and money. It is an interesting mix. Will the Windsor dynasty join forces with the Trump dynasty? Time will tell.

I did find it slightly amusing watching world leaders rush to congratulate Trump on his win, many I am sure with trepidation, including President Zelensky with his ever-empty begging bowl. How is our prime minister feeling? Is he relieved or suspicious after receiving Trump’s promise of a UK trade deal? Who has engineered this deal? As Nigel Farage flies back from Florida, you can be assured he has been influenced. As he lays down the gauntlet, I can already see the sweat building up on Sir Keir Starmer’s forehead.  Perhaps there will be many clammy hands, including those named on the Epstein client list.

In summary, as much as I appreciate the relief many will be feeling at the demise of the Democrats, no one can be trusted. The Bible warns us of false prophets; could we be seeing one now? I am reading Ezekiel 38 with interest. It is dangerous, in my opinion, for anyone to believe that Donald Trump’s administration has been put in charge solely to‘save us’ and return the West to a pre-Convid normality. No one except God is coming to save us, and now is not the time to sit back, relax, and believe that he has averted World War III, called out the Deep State, and retreated from the climate change scam overnight. If we do, we may be sorely disappointed.

Will Trump put America first, or will he risk getting involved in geopolitical conflicts? Time will tell. Where we win on the swings, we may lose on the roundabouts. Now is the time to be even more vigilant than ever. Now is the most dangerous time of all. Have faith and be prepared for the unexpected.

#ScrapTheApp – Please Help

I am on a mission, and I am looking for your help, please. After the summer of unrest, riots, draconian arrests and prison sentences for ‘social media’ posts, and holding up banners at protests, it became clear to me that protests and marches don’t work. During Convid, I attended a few gatherings. I am reluctant to call them protests, preferring to call them a meeting of the minds of like-minded folk who simply wanted to air their concerns collectively and peacefully.

If protests and petitions are not working, what will? Racking my brains, it wasn’t long before I experienced a lightbulb moment. The NHS App has allegedly tempted over 34 million of us to download the NHS App with promises of convenience, transparency, and access to cutting-edge medical technology. What do we value more: convenience or control?

Let’s turn our attention towards what may at first sight appear to be a convenient benefit to you; however, what lurks beneath is a dark spyware agenda. How many apps have you installed onto your device?  Which apps have the largest appetite for your most intimate data? Who are ‘they’, and what will ‘they’ be using it for? Which app has the closest connection to the Government?  The NHS App, perhaps?

Why is the NHS App so important? The answer is simple: everyone living in the UK is registered with the NHS, whether you like it or not. You cannot opt out, your medical records remain the property of the State forever, and you can only access copies of your records. If you need emergency care, there is no other choice than the NHS. We are all imprisoned into a system we are not allowed to escape. 67 million sources of data. 67 million to experiment on. 67 million to data rape. 67 million opportunities for the Government to sell our data to the world. What could possibly go wrong?

Apps are the front door to a digital UK. Combined with the UK Government’s digital One Log In, this will be the first step to a world where all your data will be on one app. If you don’t have it, you will be unable to access the services it provides. Persuasion and pushy sales tactics encourage naïve members of the public to download a multitude of apps to allegedly make their lives more convenient when speed is of the essence. How many apps do you have on your ‘smart’phone or device? Banking app? Social media? Shopping? Weather? News? Wellbeing? Dating? Maps? Whatever your need, there is an app on offer.

Many tell me that they don’t care who gets their data because they feel it is insignificant. Whilst you could agree if it were taken in isolation, that is not the reality; we are witnessing the biggest data grab in history. So where do we start? We take back control from our overlords.

As a regular viewer of all Board meetings held by government departments such as the MHRA and NHS England, I am struck by the excitement displayed in these meetings at the take up of the NHS App. Without all of us using the NHS App, there is no digital front door. If we all decided to delete it and refuse to use it, the knock-on effect for the Government is disastrous. Ask yourself whether you really need to know how many steps you have walked, what your blood pressure is, or what your pulse is every few hours. We survived quite well before the NHS App.

Do you really need the NHS App to book appointments and view test results? Do you really need to accept the many invitations to be tested for cancer, diabetes, or anything else they have a mind to search for? Do you really need the worry? If you receive a false positive, are you going to trust the result and accept treatment that you may not have needed, or go to the back of a never-ending waiting list? Or will you be forced through worry to consult a private expert?

Can you physically get to the GP surgery? Are you able to insist that you can phone someone to talk to them as opposed to talking with a chat bot on the app? Can we go back to good old-fashioned paper and pen, and common sense? The health, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries can only survive if people are sick. Instead of looking in the black mirror, try the white one instead. Is your colour good? Are you eating, drinking, pooing, peeing, and feeling fine? Do you know who you are, what day it is (I struggle remembering that sometimes; it’s normal), and where you are? If you can answer‘yes’ to all those, you are more than likely fine and don’t need any interventions from health professionals. Healthy people don’t need tests, especially not unreliable ones that may give you a fake result.

Be proactive. Deleting the NHS App is free, legal, quick, and very effective. You lose nothing, but the Government will gain a massive headache. Can you help spread the hashtags #ScrapTheApp and #AppTrap? Ask yourself whether you honestly trust the NHS App. Does your life depend on it? If the answer to either of those is no, please consider getting rid of it. Loyalty cards will be next on my hit list. Every little counts… data is the new oil. And is the reward worth it?

Note to those in Scotland: you may have thought you’d escaped the NHS App; however, you have not been forgotten. Whilst the Scottish Government have said no to the NHS App, you will be receiving a new Digital Front Door Platformwhich will go beyond the NHS App and give people access to their health and care services directly. It is expected this will be rolled out live in May 2025. To our Scottish friends, keep your eyes open, and keep your fingers hovering over the delete button!

Please join me in making a difference… quickly. If there is anyone reading who would like to set up a #ScrapTheApp website to promote the campaign, I have bought the domain in anticipation.

Labels - ‘I am offended’

How easy is it to offend someone these days, or indeed to feel offended? It works both ways. Woke media, woke narratives, and woke behaviours dominate our lives, whether we like it or not. Feeling like you are walking on eggshells is now the new normal.

Are you as fed up with labels as I am? My area of expertise is autism, where labels abound and are thrown around like confetti. I never associate anyone with a label. I tend to stick to ‘signal’ as an acceptable term for knowing that someone may think differently or react to situations in a different way. Perhaps this is the reason I am becoming increasingly confused and irritated by a library of different labels, some of which I am not even aware of. Wokeness has gone into overdrive.

Let’s start with a few labels which you may find just as startling and offensive. What is a terrorist? I can only assume it is anyone who seemingly has a different opinion to the mainstream narrative: ‘transphobic’, ‘Islamophobic’, ‘Zionist’,‘anti-Zionist’, ‘racist’, ‘right wing’, ‘left wing’… the list goes on. Is anyone exempt from being labelled a‘troublemaker’, ‘conspiracy theorist’, or ‘terrorist’?

Labels also apply to those of us who are aware of the lies. Are you ‘awake’ or a ‘sheeple’? Both terms are equally condescending, and I prefer to replace ‘awake’ with ‘aware’ and ‘sheeple’ with ‘unaware’. What and who is a ‘Karen’?As a ‘Debi’, I object to being called a ‘Debi Downer’, because I do try to remain upbeat. After all, I have survived thus far, and I am still able to laugh.

But if that weren’t enough, let’s turn our attention to ‘gender’ labels. No longer is it enough to ask someone’s name; it appears now we need to know their gender and their sexual preference. Why? Gender-neutral names and clothing are becoming more common, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to know who is who.

LBGTQIA is an acronym for Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, and Intersex. Are those enough? No, the list goes on; we also have Two Spirit, Non-Binary, Pansexual, Demisexual, Aromantic, Genderfluidand Agender. It was all so much simpler when we just referred to people as ‘boys’ or ‘girls’. In 2024, we can’t even do that without being shunned, or worse, imprisoned.

In my local supermarket, I was served by a lovely female-sounding person named Callum. But is Callum a she or a he? Dressed in a supermarket-branded shirt and trousers, Callum was quite clearly a she, but is that how Callum wishes to be identified? I don’t know. Why am I, as a British straight white female, feeling unwelcome in my own country? Am I now in the minority? I am really very happy being a woman, and society won’t make me feel any differently, no matter how hard it tries. I have nothing against anyone who wishes to live an alternative lifestyle; just don’t shove it in my face and criticise me for not being part of your world. Allow me to feel safe with my own sexuality, no matter how old-fashioned that may be.

Yes, the term Trans Species really exists. Why be human when you can be otherkin?  How long will it be before we see youngsters sprouting antlers or whiskers? Do you know someone who chooses to identify as otherkin? it may not be as uncommon as you first thought. For those of you like me who were unaware of the term, the definition is: ‘People who identify as other than human have been described (and describe themselves as) “animal-people”, “lycanthropes,“therianthropes”, and, most recently, “otherkin”’.

‘I am offended’ appears to have become a throw-away phrase intended to cause even more offence and to provoke a reaction. No more jokes, throwaway comments, or light-hearted opinions are allowed. Be careful; you’ll offend someone. I get ‘offended’ at others who take a ‘woke’ disgusted offence stance, and when I walk away from them, they are offended again! Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

Stories in Brief

Why we should move away from using the term ‘care’ in nursing

Thank you to Jane, one of our wonderful viewers and a trained nurse, who shared this shocking article published in the Nursing Times entitled as above. The author, Dr Justine Barksby, is Associate Professor and Head of Division(Learning Disabilities and Mental Health) at De Montfort University.

In my day, you could only be called a nurse if you were enrolled on the Nursing and Midwifery register. Student nurses were nurses in training. Dr Barksby recalled a conversation on a bus between two mature ladies. She professed to not be listening; however, she heard enough to get angry, form an opinion, and write an article relating to it.

She appeared shocked at hearing nurses (Registered General Nurses/State Registered Nurses with two years’ training) didn’t need a degree to care, and that in their opinion, nursing was a vocation. Instantly, Dr Barksby found herself angry; nurses obviously need a degree!

As shocked as she was at hearing this, I am just plain angry after reading it. We couldn’t be further apart in opinion, belief, and training. Nurses do not need a degree to care! They also do not need a degree to nurse! The definition of nursing, in my book, is caring. That’s the whole point, isn’t it? My mother constantly recounts the story of when I, at the tender age of 11, decided to write to St.  Bartholomew’s Hospital to ask if I could be a nurse when I grew up. They replied and told me to apply when I was 18 years old. Nursing was all I ever wanted to do.

Nurses are not technicians or junior doctors. We are carers, observers, and dispensers of treatments that doctors prescribe. We are hands-on carers, no matter who we are or how long we have trained. Nurses hold hands, not iPads. How have nurses decided they can nurse without caring? Are healthcare assistants the only ones allowed or expected to care? It appears so.

According to her, ‘caring’ is the job of healthcare assistants, who are lesser trained than nurses. Whatever happened to State Enrolled Nurses (two years’ training required) and Auxiliary Nurses (untrained, but often very experienced)? To believe Barsby is, in my opinion, incorrect. Caring is the job of all nurses and carers, regardless of grade, seniority, background, religion, or training. You can’t train someone to care; either they do or they don’t.

According to this disgraceful article, which most definitely does offend me, Barksby continues by suggesting that the public still expect nurses to mop fevered brows, hold hands, and care for patients. Errr… yes, that is what we expect, because that is what nursing is all about. She also suggests that nurses do not attach emotions to their patients! Really?Try stopping us. There are so many of my patients who I remember by name, with memories of laughing, crying and celebrating. It’s all part of the job. We wouldn’t be human if we didn’t feel emotions. Perhaps that is the agenda moving forward: robot nurses. Barksby wrote: ‘The definition further expands into the realms of “caring for”, implying some sort of emotion and “looking after” – again not what nurses do. Caring roles are valued – I am not undermining those jobs or the people who do them – but we need to differentiate between a carer and a fully qualified, professional nurse’.

No, we don’t. As I read on, I became angrier and angrier. Nurses should care, and if they don’t, they shouldn’t be in the job. Perhaps Dr Justine Barksby would like to talk with me. It might be slightly adversarial, but let’s debate. In any event, you can be sure that UK Column do care. My mantra for those of you who are thus far unaware is ‘TenderLoving Care Everywhere’. It’s not rocket science, it’s free, and it never runs out. Simple, eh? My school’s motto was‘By Love, Serve One Another’ (Galatians 5:13). It has served me well all of my life. Finally, now exhausted, I reinforce my call to bring back uniforms! Then we all will know what to expect!

MHRA Board Meeting

After having to prompt with an email to ask where tickets were for the next MHRA Board meeting, I was very swiftly sent a link.

I booked a free ticket immediately to watch remotely. Please join me, 19th November, 10am– 12:30pm. The time can change, so please check before joining.

Get your ticket here. Thank you to all those who sign up and participate. You know who you are. It means so much to know that your eyes are everywhere. More to come in my next blog.

Lung tests at the supermarket

NHS England have proudly announced that thousands of people are going for a lung and breath test at their mobile units, with many of them placed in supermarket car parks. According to the announcement, ‘More than 5,000 people in England have been diagnosed with lung cancer earlier thanks to an innovative NHS initiative, which uses mobile scanning trucks to visit local communities’.

I feel fine! (rolls eyes)

TextNow and TextSpot

In the USA, authorities are focusing on stopping racist texts being sent to Black people after the election: ‘Children, college students and working professionals have received the mass texts from unrecognized phone numbers in the wake of the presidential election. The hate-filled rhetoric reminiscent of the country’s painful and bigoted past has been reported in more than 20 states from New York to California, and the District of Columbia’.

The companies contracted to track, trace, and report to authorities are TextNow and TextSpot. More to come on this in the future.

All the world’s a stage, and the performance is fake

Did Covid even happen?

It has been very interesting listening to interviews with Dominic Cummings, reading his blog, and listening to his witness statement at the Covid Inquiry

According to him, no one in the Government knows what is going on. Everyone is basically winging it all the time, and Downing Street is just a glorified media office. It became more apparent as I listened on that the Covid era has been lost in history, just four years after its appearance on the world stage.

Cummings explains that in the 21st century, politicians and experts no longer write hard copy letters, instead relying on WhatsApp messages, Google documents (many of which have been lost or deleted), and Zoom or Teams to conduct high-level, high-security meetings and decide on critical actions. Clearly many wrong decisions were taken, and the wrong information was shared. But where has the evidence gone? Which ‘cloud’ is it floating on? How many videos of press briefings have been deleted? Documents have been removed from the internet, never to be seen again. Will we ever know, or will Covid just become a distant memory, unnoticed and unexplained? After all, according to Cummings, politicians and experts no longer write diaries these days. Perhaps one day, Covid, the event that changed humanity forever, will never have existed. A bit like Tartaria? Food for thought, eh?

And Finally

Bowel cancer tests

Despite opting out time and time again, I got a letter this week from the NHS informing me that another bowel kit would be dropping through my door. No thanks. I never asked for one, and considering this is the fourth time I have dropped a kit in the bin, I am feeling as though I am being stalked. I was so incensed that I rang the number on the letter to demand to be opted out. I was informed that I had to sign a letter to confirm that I wanted to opt out. Why? I object to giving any more data. I was told I had to sign it to keep me safe, and to make sure that an imposter wasn’t taking over! When I asked if this letter would put an end to all the other requests to test me, prod me, poke me, and prick me, I was told no. Each test or invitation you receive warrants a separate opt-out call to the department concerned.

This is another sludge technique being used. Stand your ground. If you don’t want to be tested, simply refuse. And let’s remember how much money this is costing the NHS: a letter and a kit plus the cost of a test I don’t need or want. #BinIt.

I predict that the next two months will be fast-moving and unpredictable. And with all this bad news, I want to assure you that we will try very hard to bring you some lighter news that will turn your frown upside down.

With that in mind, I want to introduce you to a must-have book: Worth A Shot? Secrets of the Clinical Trial Participant. The author is Caroline Pover, a co-founding member of the UKCV Family charity, which supports the vaccine-injured and bereaved. Her new book is uplifting and surprising, for good reasons. I have ordered mine; have you ordered yours? Proceeds will be split between UKCV Family and React19. We will be interviewing Caroline soon about her fantastic piece of work. Keep tuned, and bravo, Caroline!

And finally, finally... last week on the news, we featured a petition challenging the Welsh Government with regards to a pathway for those suffering with vaccine injuries. There is yet no pathway or any other help for them. Many platforms have either censored or shadow banned the platforms. After challenging Meta, Alison Butler, herself vaccine-injured,has not heard a word from them.

Please support Alison’s petition: Ensure diagnosis and treatment for people suffering from adverse Covid-19 vaccine side effects. Every signature counts and you don’t have to live in Wales to sign it. Let’s see those numbers shoot up. Thank you so much in advance.

Winter 2024 in the UK is predicted to be cold with little wind. Considering we are now reliant on solar and wind farms to generate power, will we have enough power to go around, or will it be ‘lights out’? Could Oxford University be wrong in their predictions? No wind and no sun = no power? Or am I missing something? I’m popping out to pick up a couple more camping lights, just in case. As a word of caution, check the seals on your hot water bottles, as often the rubber can perish. I always buy new hot water bottles every couple of years. It’s not worth a nasty burn!

Until next time

God Bless, look up and keep your eyes on the heavens
